The local welcoming congregations that will make up Queer Spirit 2025 include UUCB, Brunswick United Methodist Church, St Paul’s Episcopal Church, First Parish UCC, Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church, and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Members and staff from these various congregations have been working together to begin planning what our Queer Spirit interfaith tent at Pride Brunswick will look like for 2025. One of the main things that we have agreed on is that now more than ever, the LGBTQIA+ community needs educated allies who know how to best support the community. We are working on ways that we can help educate one another through the work our various congregations are already doing.
Step one, we decided, is to throw a mixer so that we can get to know folx from all the local congregations participating in the Queer Spirit 2025 effort. So… Join us for a rainbow themed dessert potluck! Bring your enthusiasm and ideas for supporting the local LGBTQIA+ community and a brightly colored or rainbow themed sweet to share!
