Minister’s Reflection

Dear Ones,

Please know I am thinking of you and missing you during this strange and concerning time. While we are socially isolating ourselves, I will be in touch periodically electronically. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me via email or phone if you need to talk. For the time being, the church office is closed, and, like you, I am trying my hardest (and it is hard) not to be with people. I know we will get through this, and it will be yet one more story to tell future generations!

Meanwhile, with the help of Mike Heath, Steve Wellcome, and David Wellcome, I have created a modified and abbreviated worship service and uploaded it to YouTube. You can watch it here:

This business of virtual worship is a steep learning curve for me and I am sure it will evolve as we go along. I was not able to figure out streaming this time, for instance, and I don’t know quite how to add musicians without involving more cameras, more production, and, most notably, more people. But it is what it is, and that is not nothing. Stay tuned for future developments.

Do take care of yourselves. I look forward to a time when we can be together again.

Love,

Sylvia
