Pastoral Newsletter #2 for April 5, 2020

Dear Ones,

Attached is the latest issue of our pastoral newsletter — one means of keeping in touch during these difficult and isolating times. We don’t have a schedule for releasing these newsletters, only a commitment to send them out when it seems important to communicate information to all of you.

Please note the RE calendar on page 5. Many of the activities listed there do not need to be limited to kids! People of all ages can participate in them. We might feel more connected to each other and our church as  a result. Take a look!

In addition, please note that we have started to add Joys and Sorrows to this newsletter. (Joys and Sorrows will be in the email and snail mail versions of the newsletter, but not in the version posted on our website.) You may have noticed we are not including Joys and Sorrows in our virtual worship services. That’s because YouTube is such a public platform. We do not feel it is right to include such personal information there, and it actually would be in violation of the spirit of our Communications Policy. So please do look to these newsletters for important news about UUCB members and friends.

Please be assured we will send snail-mail copies of this newsletter to people who do not have computers. So many of the ways we are all keeping in touch right now do involve computers, however. Thus I encourage you to reach out to folks you know who can’t keep in touch electronically. Please send letters or make phone calls. It’s hard to be alone and isolated!

Love to all of you,

Sylvia
