On March 23rd, UUCB members and friends met at The Center for Multicultural Life at Bowdoin College to engage in conversation about race—an Intergroup Dialogue.
Two groups of 14 were facilitated by Bowdoin College faculty. Each group had two facilitators, one a person of color and one who is white. Participants actively engaged in activities designed to stimulate new awareness of racism, where it comes from, how it makes us feel, and what we might do to decrease its impact.
The leaders extended an invitation to reconvene during the summer to continue working with us.
